Many people welcomed 2021 with big hopes and dreams
After so much time at home last year, wanderlust is bubbling up, and although we are not out of the woods yet, with vaccines and increased procedures, it’s time to start talking about what travel might look like in the foreseeable future.
If you are someone who is looking to book your next big family adventure, we thought we would let you in on our badly kept secret…travel pods. Hopefully, we can do a better job of explaining how they work than the bumbling efforts of our politicians, but essentially a two point four travel pod is an opportunity for you to travel with your friends and loved ones safely and securely, without sacrificing any of the experience.
Typically, your pod would stay in a private villa or boutique hotel, so you won’t find any large resorts or cruises here. Our activities, whether it be adventure, nature, sport, culture or food-based, will be private too. So, think more private chef nights and wine tasting and fewer queues at the buffet. You won’t have access to any kids clubs; instead, your group will have private childcare delivered by highly qualified and experienced childcare professionals. Each of the activities are designed with ages in mind, so whilst the adults are having their fun, you can rest assured your kids are in safe hands and experiencing the country you are in.
Safe and secure travel
By choosing more private and exclusive accommodation, you avoid overcrowded lobbies, restaurants and pool areas. Travel pods reduce risk because everyone agrees to follow strict health guidelines. These might include steps such as testing or quarantining before departure, as well as following plenty of health and safety rules that you all agree on. And because your group consists of people you know and trust, everyone should feel much more relaxed and comfortable spending time together. This doesn’t stop with accommodation either. It extends into transport, activities and much more, so you tell us what you feel comfortable with and we make sure it happens.
Value of scale
We all want to make sure we get value for our money and this is the perfect way to do so. Hiring a private chef for the evening is out of reach for a lot of people, but split this cost amongst your group and suddenly you will be getting value for your money. Same goes for the opportunity to have a private childcare provider travelling with you throughout the trip. Whilst we all want to spend time together as a family and make sure there is plenty of time allocated for that, it’s also nice to have the freedom to head out for a special dinner, indulge in a spa treatment or jump on a bike to do a challenging hill climb – all of this is possible with our unique approach to family travel.
Social distancing and isolation haven’t been easy, so spending time with family and friends is high on many priority lists for 2021. Whether we are talking about a challenging hike, a hot air balloon ride or white-water rafting, taking part in epic adventures with those who share a similar zest for life will make that evening glass of wine a toast to remember! But just as we make sure parents have time to themselves, we also make sure individual families have the same. Just because you have booked a trip together, doesn’t mean you have to spend every day with your besties. From various activities, you can choose what you and yours want to do each day, before coming together that evening to share stories over dinner, with our baby sitters keeping a watchful eye.
To help ensure you and your pod have the best time possible, we advise having open and frank conversations about expectations and boundaries before you decide to travel together. Once you get this out of the way, you can enjoy the process of planning an amazing adventure with close friends and creating memories that will last forever. We typically do this with our customers over a Zoom call and a glass of wine.
If you want to discuss this further, whether for a specific adventure you have in mind or a general discussion on how it might work, drop us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our team will be in touch.
