Give us your details and together we’ll smooth out all the edges until you have your very own unique itinerary that you can’t wait to start.
Chapter 1: THE BEGINNING – MARRAKESH
Touch down in Marrakesh where you’ll find us waiting; ready to whisk you away to your ‘home’ for the next few days. Unpack, unwind, freshen-up and stretch your legs, before heading down to dinner for your first taste of Moroccan cuisine. Now sit back whilst your local guide gives you the insider secrets along with a few helpful words in the native tongue, to unlocking your journey’s maximum potential.
Over the next few days you’ll become well acquainted with your surroundings; spending morning strolls out in the Medina for a guided tour and local lunch, before exploring the Berber area within the Atlas Mountains. In a national park just 30 minutes outside of the city, you can trek by hoof, boot or bike, navigating the rural terrain in this hive of Morocco’s eco-tourism, packed full of outdoor activities in wide-open spaces. Harvest the mint for learning the ancient techniques of brewing the perfect cup of traditional Moroccan tea and try your hand at cooking classes by the Moroccan non-profit organisation that trains and empowers local disadvantaged women for work in the restaurant industry. Kids are welcomed and enjoyed throughout Morocco and your days in Marrakesh will fill them with an education of the senses as well as a rich-experience of adventures that would put Aladdin’s to shame. For private time away from the littlest of explorers amongst you, arrange our trained childcare to take the reigns so that the adults can enjoy a late-night meal, a mid-afternoon Hammam ritual, or maybe even an early morning hot-air balloon ride.
Wrap-up the first chapter of your family epic with street food in Marrrakesh’s main square, enjoying the storytellers and acrobats, before heading back for games at the hotel.
Chapter 2: THE MIDDLE – AGAFAY
Moving on to your next location, Agafay will ease you into a slower pace of life from the bustle of the city to the dunes of the Sahara. Drive through the mountains and spend the day with a Berber family, soaking up the survival of traditions dating back to a prehistoric Caspian culture. Head down into the Agafay desert by car to ‘glamp’ with a sprinkle of Bedouin and folklore by the fire. Let your kid’s’ imaginations run wild under a canopy of starlight brighter than their dreams. Splash in the on-site pool and stay the night before heading off to your final destination in the morning.
Chapter 3: THE END – TAGHAZOUT
If you had a late night by the campfire, you can catch some z’s on your road trip to Taghazout – The 4-hour scenic drive to the coast will be broken-up for a refuel of fish and a seafood lunch at the fishing port of Agadir, before arriving at your hotel to wind down.
Taghazout is Morocco’s leading surf and yoga retreat perched on the white beach coastline at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Marvel at the point break power of the Atlantic sea and learn to body-surf the tunnel of a barrel wave whilst your kids boogie-board their way around the frothy surf closer to land. Align your chakras and stretch away the burdens of ‘real-life’ with some family-friendly yoga. Limber up further and let the kids blow off some steam in the gardens with our fully trained childcare partners, before putting their pirate treasure-hunting skills to the test in a prepared scavenger hunt or sandcastle construction competition. Leave the kids in safe hands and enjoy an adult dinner out in town. Spend your last day window-shopping a sailboat or two before testing your barter skills for something a bit more affordable at the market in Agadir. Grab lunch before getting sticky-fingered for all the right reasons, tasting the golden nectar of the honey bees at a local apiary.
Bid beslama (goodbye) to Maghreb (Morocco) and leave with more than a healthy dash of tamaghrabit (a strong feeling of Moroccan-ness) as you head to the airport leaving the land of contrasts behind.
